Ran the racecar at Thunderhill for an open trackday shakedown, and it frigging kicked a*s. I had low expectations for it, and boy was I in for a surprise.

Light, nimble, and frigging fast. Boy howdy. Ran great till the crank-nut came off and it overheated due to lack of water pump drive. Back together and ready to rock another trackday.

Improvised filter until we could find one that fit.

Proof that our car was, at one time, a trailer…does bring to mind another team name, “Trailer Trash"…

NASCAR bars, baby…

Hand-hammered hood-scoop goodness…

1.5L of fury…waiting to be unleashed on those suckas…

Photos a little out of sequence. But some photographic evidence to prove that we hand-built every fricking thing, including the cage…

Engine in, manifolds on, axles attached…
Cage coming together, steering column back in…
Re-inforcements in lower crossmember frame, boxing of crossmember itself is a work of art (not shown)…
More re-inforcements at front torque-rod, a known failure point if you hit something big an in X1/9…

Trub (troob) n. the mucky stuff found at the bottom of homebrewers' carboys. Usually consists of flocculated yeast, hop bits, and other spent ingredients of beer. Bless their little souls.
